I am super pumped and although it’s reasonably old new, one of my top 5 movies ever is having a sequel made. Following a Tweet by Paramount Picture, the film Zoolander 2 is set to be released on February 12th 2016.
It was this news which led to a publicity stunt by Hansel (Owen Wilson) and Zoolander (Ben Stiller) during Paris fashion week. During the March, 2015 Maison Valentino runway show, both Hansel and Zoolander strut down the runway enticing cheers of excitement from surprised onlookers.
They walked down the runways to the song “Don’t You Want Me” by the human league and at the end the runway Derek Zoolander displayed his signature look of “Blue Steel”. On the way back down the runways Derek grabbed an onlooker’s phone that was performing a selfie video and continued to walk backstage with the phone while posing for the camera.
